CrossFit Kids & Teens combines fitness & fun while focusing on achievement. Our classes are high-energy and great for all levels. Full-body strength and mobility with games, running, jumping, and more! Classes are split into two groups by age and ability: Beginners (Level 1) & Intermediate (Level 2). We get kids moving, build self-esteem and confidence, teach teamwork & leadership skills. CFE makes exercise fun!

It is time to power down the phones and fire up some fitness! This non-sport specific class will help get your teen moving. Proper weightlifting techniques are taught, under the watchful eye of our CrossFit certified trainers, to enhance strength and power, while also focusing on basic gymnastics to increase agility, mobility and flexibility. In addition, we aim to boost self-esteem and confidence within our teens. We want to give them the strength, both physically and mentally, to tackle any obstacle thrown their way inside or out of the gym. Come move and groove this summer! We will learn multiple styles of dance including ballet, jazz, hip hop, and modern. With different themes each day, students will dance to fun music, play creative movement games, and do some arts and crafts projects. Dancers should wear comfortable clothing
(Dance clothing optional!). Please bring a filled water bottle and a peanut-free snack.

Hip Hop, originally "Street Dance", embodies a large genre of dance that includes freestyle, rhythmic interpretation of music and social dance norms. This high-energy class is designed to improve cardiovascular strength while learning innovative ways to move your body to music!

All-new Rocket Science is a blast for any junior rocketeer! Rocket Scientists will learn about propulsion by building compressed air rockets, solid fuel rockets, and rockets that blast off via chemical reaction! As aerospace engineers, we will travel to infinity and beyond while learning the laws of aerodynamics and flight. For a fantastic finish, we will launch our own customized Estes Rocket on Friday (weather permitting).

Let’s get creative with electricity! In this junior hands-on electronics class, students will gain experience with creating their own electronics; designing custom light-up greeting cards, electric games, mazes, and even musical instruments. Each class day consists of a circuitry lesson and a hands-on electronics project, using components like lights, buzzers, switches, motors, and sensors. Circuit Lab staff will make sure participants create many projects that they can be proud of, and each class day includes a take-home project. Students should bring a peanut-free snack.

Understanding how software can interact with robots is a key skill for the STEM jobs of tomorrow. In this class we provide several active, playful activities, where students learn about what it means to write, debug, and execute computer programs that communicate with different robotic devices. Using the power of code, students will turn Sphero SPRK+ robots into Magic 8 Balls, automated Red Light / Green Light games, and the arcade classic Pong – and Unruly Splats will become our voting machines, relay races, guessing games, and more. Students should bring a peanut-free snack.

Kids' Test Kitchen is on a mission to get young eaters cooking, tasting, and thinking about healthy ingredients. Please disclose any food allergies or dietary restrictions when you register.

Come join this very cool and fun elementary school summer program! Each day the kids will explore up to 20 weird and wacky hands-on science experiments and will make and take home at least 10 different projects. The scientists are fast paced and funny and your kids will be thoroughly entertained (they’ll even learn some interesting things too). We will explore weird motions and flying things, air and water pressure; crazy chemistry, light and sound, science magic, electricity, magnets, astronomy and more. Be prepared for lots of fun stuff. BONJOUR! Come learn French for the summer!! Learn a new language for travel, about the beach, farm animals, and fun summer foods. There will be music, arts and crafts, etc. We will do some speaking, writing, all levels.

Become a paw-some veterinarian! Camp participants will role-play the key responsibilities of a veterinarian and learn how to care for a dog. These future veterinarians will learn how to remove ticks, perform a nose-to-tail exam, understand proper animal nutrition and hydration, suture lacerations, and more!

This program is an introduction to the tabletop game Dungeons & Dragons. Participants will work together to learn the rules and mechanics of the game. Each player will have the opportunity to build a unique character to take on a grand adventure, tailored to the experience skill level of the group. Through cooperative game play involving puzzle solving and basic math, participants will strengthen teamwork, improvisation, and social skills. All while having a lot of fun!

Inspired learning today - healthy futures tomorrow! Camp participants will role-play the key responsibilities of a doctor and learn about vital organs in the human body. These future doctors will learn how to use a stethoscope, blood pressure cuff, and reflex hammer. They will practice administering first aid, learn how pharmacists play a role in administering medications, and more!

If you are interested in theater, this is the program for you. This five-day camp is for kids of all theater skill backgrounds, giving them the building blocks of theater development. Throughout the week, participants will learn how to work as a team in preparing and rehearsing scenes, developing characters, and understanding how to work as a collective in ensemble singing and dancing. To conclude the week, participants can perform a live showcase practiced throughout the week. Scripts, sheet music, and lesson plans will all be provided to participants.

Are you looking for a fun environment to send your child this Summer? The fun is always on at Club Simonds! Spend fun-filled days playing games, making arts and crafts, cooking or performing in a skit. Daily water activities may include the wading pool and sprinklers or water games, so don’t forget your bathing suit! Children should bring peanut-free snack, lunch and water bottles (preferably refillable) in an insulated cooler or bag.
